MEPs Against Cancer (MAC) Briefing: EU Consultation on Endocrine Disruptors

European Parliament, Brussels
REGISTRATION required at http://bit.ly/1wm5dDH (registration closes 5 January at 10am)

Effective regulation of endocrine disrupting chemicals represents an important opportunity for the primary prevention of hormone-related cancers, including breast, prostate and testicular. Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in Europe today and prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men. This MAC meeting will highlight recent WHO and other scientific evidence and the findings of two publications which have estimated the potential health cost savings from regulatory action on endocrine disruptors.
The event is also timely and important, given the EU Public Consultation on the topic, due to close mid-January.
This Briefing is hosted by MEP Christel Schaldemose
Advance registration for Parliamentary security is required at http://bit.ly/1wm5dDH (registration closes 5 January at 10am)
