Today, 26 February, 2014, the European Parliament approved a revised EU Tobacco Products Directive.
The new law strengthens the rules on how tobacco products are manufactured, produced and presented in the EU, and introduces rules for certain tobacco-related products.
Click here to read the European Commission's memo clarifying the changes with this revised Directive, including what this means for future tobacco packs, electronic cigarettes (eCigs) and snus. The new Directive should enter into force in May.
