Dimitrios is a specialised oncology nurse with both clinical and research background and has experience in cancer supportive and palliative care. His main area of interest is health inequalities and disparities in cancer care, and he is passionate about clinical cancer care research, but more so that the findings are translated into practice and make a difference in people’s life.

Dimitrios holds an MSc in Oncology Nursing and Palliative Care and is is actively involved in the education of undergraduate nursing students. He collaborates with several scientific nursing associations and NGOs, including the European Oncology Nursing Society (as member of the Advocacy Working Group and the Young Cancer Nurses Network), the Greek Nursing Studies Association (Board Member), European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (Young Ambassador 2019).
